Music at Thad’s is essential to our worship service and has been very influential in the growth of our community. Original songs written by our musical bon-vivant, Hunter Perrin, and singer/songwriter, Ian Jack, blend rockabilly, rhythm and blues, soul and American gospel. It’s a new kind of hymnal. It’s music that works as well on Saturday night as it does on Sunday morning.
Songs are led by the Thad’s house band, The Church Keys. Think electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin, lap steel, congas, drums, bass, piano, soaring vocal harmonies and the occasional horn section. If you like the music of The Band, Van Morrison, Booker T. & the MG’s and The Staple Singers, you’ll love the original musical experience at Thad’s. Lyrics are printed on the weekly bulletin, and everyone is encouraged to sing along, unless they’re not comfortable singing.
